"Y-y-yights!"

Makana loves the lights of Christmas! We are trying to teach her that Jesus is the Light of the world, as we sing, "Happy Birthday to Jesus!" everyday. She thoroughly enjoys the Christmas tree, and she placed our little haku lei from Lynne and Alton Uyema (our first year of marriage) on the top this year.

She is definitely our little elf in terms of helping out. Thanks to the video from Uncle B (aka, Jeffo), Makana has learned to enjoy cleanup time. We sing, "Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere . . . ." I'm sure many of you know the rest! Sometimes, though, she gives us her "side-eye," as if to say, "What are you talking about?!?"

Makana likes to play in front of the tree; in one pic she is doing her tropical fish puzzle (from Rylee), which she loves.

As much as I blog, I'm incredibly glad there was no way to document my childhood in this manner.

Can you imagine? Good grief.

Actually, I'm sure you can imagine...which is even scarier...

With which pic should we begin? How about the one of you wearing heels, trying to balance the toilet paper roll on your head? :)

I knew it...we just can't get past that one, can we? Noooooooooo sirrrreeeee, nope! You'd think my siblings would forget one little incident many, many, many years ago...

...ok, maybe lots of incidences spread over many, many, many years...

...ok, maybe not...

What about the one in the purple dress? Maybe I should start the new year off on the right foot with a bunch of old time pics. Hmmm....

GREAT idea, Lis! :) POST! I could link to your blog and let people indulge! I also think about the ninja outfits (daily wear). :)

Truth revealed is always good. :) Transparency . . . . Hmmm . . . am I supposed to feel convicted to do otherwise? Perhaps if it were scandalous. Is it?

Next time I start telling a story about you, I'm going to quote you. "Truth revealed is always good."
