It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Being the curious baby she is, Makana is thoroughly enjoying the decorating process (and I do say it is a PROCESS this year; can't do everything at once, as we used to). :) She loves the BLING! of Christmas things. I think that is why she loves watching Baby Santa (from her Einstein series) so much: It has the most color and pure bling out of all the videos.

Makana enjoys Burton, our big snowman. It'll be interesting to compare her height to his next Christmas. They are pals, as she sat in the shopping cart at Joann's next to him as Mommy hunted for lots of bargains the weekend after Thanksgiving. Yes, I did venture out, and I am gloating (sinful, eh?) as I look at the current prices and compare them to the STEALS I got them for in the crowds. It was the first time I had shopped the weekend after Thanksgiving in more than a decade. Serra, my ND friend, and I had a great time together on that Friday. Makana and I ventured out together on that Saturday. :)

I read to Makana one of my favorite Christmas stories: The Crippled Lamb (How to I italicize that?) (Thanks, Ann Wheeler for introducing me to that story.). She actually sat through the entire story and listened. Lately, she likes to see how well and quickly she can flip the pages in her books, so I was quite impressed by her attention to the story. If you haven't read it, it's a good one. :) It helps me to remember the true reason to be excited about Christmas. :)

Italics instruction:

Highlight the text you wish to italicize, then click on the i in the bar above the text window.

I don't have the "i" in the bar (just like I don't have the other formatting tools, like "b" and "link," etc.). Bummer. Html?

Try this...

{span style="font-style:italic;"}that{/span}

But substitute < and > for the { and }

On my computer, I highlight the text and press Control and "i".
Wonderful photos, Monica. It's so refreshing to see Christmas through your little one's eyes.

Hmmm . . . I'm a dope. Perhaps Safari (my Internet software) just doesn't like any of the above mentioned ideas. :( I appreciate the help, though. More ideas? :)

Monica,
When I use Safari, I can't do italics or bold either. Can you use Mozilla Firefox instead? Mark's computer has both and Firefox lets me italicize.

I miss you, too, Ann! It feels empty doing ministry to the singles here without your family. We need a Hospitality House here; wanna move to Arizona? :)

We love how your family is growing so beautifully together. :)
