Makana would go to bed later in Hawai'i but awaken as though she were still on Arizona time--3 hours' difference! Hence, she'd start her days by announcing, "Good morning, Sunshine! Let's see the sunrise!" Many a morning, I'd tell her it is still dark outside; go back to sleep. "Oh, sooo dark!" would be the reply, but she mostly insisted on waiting for the sunrise to come. :)
Naturally, we didn't have great sunrises EVERY day, but they were present the majority of the time. It just means you WILL HAVE TO RETURN! :) Awe, shucks!

Now I'm jealous! It was disappointing that it was overcast the day we went out early.
