Truly, is this Arizona?

I looked outside this afternoon, and I mentioned to Dave that I thought it was flurrying. Sure enough, the veteran snow dweller verified what I was looking at. We wanted to document this event, as we are sure it doesn't really snow like this every year. When we looked into our yard a couple of hours later, we saw a canopy of snow in our desert backyard.

Dave is happy! He is teaching Makana to rejoice also when the snow comes down. :)

Exploring In Cactus Land

Makana continues to enjoy our family hikes. She outgrew her snuggli for the hikes, so Daddy bought her this bigger carrier from a thrift store. It's the second hike we've used it, and Makana seems to like her new mode of hiking. :)

Snow?

Once again, the question must be posed: Do we truly live in Arizona? The other morning at about 10 am, we still had a patch of --yes, indeed!--snow in our back yard. We were also experiencing record lows (in the 20's) for a few days in a row, while New England experienced some springtime temps!

Everyday stuff

Makana didn't really appreciate sharing her crib with Burton (our snowman).

After getting her 3rd set of shots along with her flu shot, Makana ran a fever and was miserable. Motrin was her friend. :)

Brushing her 4 teeth is always nice!

We love being her parents!

Cleaning can be fun!

August is posted--Finally

For whom Dave has dubbed "the blog nazis," (aka Lisa, Dana, and John) the August 2006 post is finally up. Sorry; with so much to say, it has been in draft mode for so long. I must admit, though, that it was nice to know there are some loyal readers; thanks you guys! Sorry to have disappointed you with the delay. I am working on the other months still. For now, read and comment on! :)
