International Student Conference 2007

We were privileged to have had the opportunity to return to the Kentucky Baptist Campus Ministry's International Student Conference this year. What a treat! It felt like returning home, although we missed quite a few people we were used to seeing. God brought together people from at least 38 different countries (the count of flags from our Roll Call of Nations). It was great to share with people the ultimate hope Jesus offers.

Makana seemed to be in her element, although she had a bit of a cold. She loved waving her flag and wearing her ethnic outfits.

Since John and Jon are still in Kentucky, we spent lunch at Lee's Korean Restaurant with them one day. I guess you have to check out John's blog for those pics and video. I was lacking in the picture taking during that time. :(

We also were able to meet with our church family, whom we dearly miss! Reunions are sweet (and bitter when we leave again). However, we will meet again! :)

One neat thing happened before we left Kentucky: Abigail Leigh Helmer came into this world on Monday, November 5th! :) Congratulations, Chad and Krista! :) Abi is very blessed to have you as parents. We wished we could have visited before leaving, but we hope to meet your precious baby soon!
