How can one resist?

It takes everything in me to resist a "Please!" like this! Sometimes Makana just cannot have more of something, but she looks so cute that I would like to waver. However, with her strong personality, I try to remain a stalwart one in my resolve to help her understand meaningful boundaries. Whew! That is soooo difficult at times!

Dear Monica,
May God continue to give you wisdom and a heart of kindness and compassion as you raise your precious daughter. She is abundantly blessed to have parents like you and Dave.

You're stronger than I am, Mon; I wouldn't even bother with trying to resist!

Glad you all understand! Ahhh, our little girl has already discovered how to throw a mini-tantrum. However, she thankfully feels immediately guilty when I sternly say, "Makana!" and she stops leaning over to start a sniffle. Sometimes she even helps me by shaking her finger at her misbehavior. Imagine that!

Only by God's grace . . . .

Hmmm...reminds me of her mother...

Actually, when I saw that picture of her, I thought, "Hey, she kinda looks like Mon!" Seriously.

Just a thought ;)

Makana's eyes are difficult to say "no" to. She has a zest for life. "God give us the grace to know how to raise her to God's glory." Monica is also difficult to say "no" to and the zest for life in her eyes is also contagious. Hmmm... two smart and beautiful girls. What is a husband and father to do? Love them sacrificially, lead them biblically, and entrust them to God's care, as He is the ultimate Bridegroom and Father. May I reflect Him.
