38 and going strong

Last month I turned 38, and it was a great birthday! Thank you to all who called and wished me a good day, for it indeed was one. Thanks, Lisa, for my scrapbooking supplies; Mary and Ing clan for the scrapbooking magazine; Donna, Tony, AJ, and Dominic for the cutest matching fleece jackets for Makana and me; and Serra for taking me out and also greatly enhancing my scrapbooking collection. :)

Dave, Makana, and I had a leisurely day, for Dave usually has Mondays off. We were able to hang out, eat at our favorite Greek restaurant in town (sorry, Turkish friends!), go hiking and shopping. At the end of the day we thought we were going to eat the the Macaroni Grill, but when we arrived and were seated immediately, we waited 40+ minutes to no avail. NO ONE even so much as greeted us! We left, taking the menus to the hostesses and telling them we were leaving and why. They asked us if we wanted another table. No, for Makana was getting sleepy. They just giggled. That was that.

We returned home, and I gave Makana a bath and then cooked dinner.

It was still a great birthday, and I thank God for a wonderful day to celebrate the life he's given me. :)

Tee hee! I keep forgetting you're 38...

But I do remember calling on your birthday! I did do that, at least!
